Research Areas Include:
- High temperature kinetics, process modeling, slags, transport properties, oxygen steelmaking, ladle metallurgy.

Current Activities:
- Oxygen Steelmaking: Kinetic studies in support of whole process modeling of the BOF, including, kinetics of droplet swelling, dephosphorisation of bloated droplets, decarburization mechanism of bloated droplets.
- Process Modeling of Ladle Metallurgy: Whole process model including coupled slag metal reactions, inclusion transformation and calcium injection.
- High Manganese Steel Production: Kinetics of reductive alloying, kinetics of manganese losses in AOD, kinetics of reduction and smelting of manganese ore.
