Direct Thrombin Inhibitors
Abstract
Direct thrombin inhibitors may offer advantages over indirect thrombin inhibitors in the management of patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Two direct thrombin inhibitors, hirudin and bivalirudin, have been investigated in Phase II and Phase III clinical trials.
