Danielle Rice
Assistant Professor, Psychiatry & Behavioural Neurosciences

Dr. Danielle Rice is a Clinical and Health Psychologist and Clinical Lead at the Mood Disorders Treatment and Research Clinic. She is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences. Clinically, Danielle focuses on providing treatment and assessment to individuals with complex mental health conditions, including those with depression and co-occurring mental health conditions. Her research focuses on (1) improving the accessibility and quality of mental health and addictions care within Canada and (2) developing and testing interventions among those with chronic health conditions (e.g., systemic sclerosis/scleroderma). She has published over 100 peer reviewed journal articles, several of which have been used to inform best practice clinical guidelines. She is an advocate for improving the mental health care system and has been collaborating on provincial initiatives for mental health and addictions care such as working with Ontario Health and the Mental Health and Addictions Centre of Excellence.
