Phasic modulation of somatosensory potentials during passive movement

Abstract

Tibial nerve somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) amplitude modulates to passive stretch of leg extensors with movement, paralleling spinal reflex modulation. We therefore hypothesized that SEP amplitude is phasically attenuated during flexion in passive pedalling.
