Transient Donath‐Landsteiner Haemolytic Anaemia

Five children with 'paroxysmal cold haemoglobinuria' are described. In all of them an upper respiratory tract infection preceded the episode of acute intravascular haemolysis and potentially pathogenic organisms were recovered from four.
