Abstract

BACKGROUND: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is associated with significant mortality. It is currently the fourth leading cause of death in Canada and the world. OBJECTIVES: To describe the mortality of elderly patients in Ontario after hospital admission for COPD.
