Numerical study of mechanical anisotropy of extruded magnesium alloy AZ31

The recently developed Elastic Visco-Plastic Self-Consistent (EVPSC) model is applied to study the mechanical behavior of extruded magnesium alloy AZ31. Different specimen orientations with respect to the extrusion direction are used to study the mechanical anisotropy under both uniaxial tension and compression.
