Abstract
Regenerative or hyperplastic growth promotes carcinogenesis and can be induced by many nongenotoxic carcinogens. The mitogenic potential of the rodent liver tumor promoters, cyproterone acetate and phenobarbital was investigated in primary rat hepatocyte cultures.
