Community University Policy Alliance on Women's Homelessness

Project summary

This project focuses on policy change. The purpose of this research project is to help the School of Social Work better understand and advance the study of social policy in our program. We are working with two community partners to better understand the local reality of women's complex homelessness in order to advocate for low-barrier, gender-based housing interventions for women (trans and non-binary inclusive) in Hamilton. We are also studying the process of policy change work with collaborative leadership between community and university partners.
