Time-resolved hemoglobin oxygenation measurements of a tissue-simulating phantom containing human erythrocytes

Abstract

A time-resolved system for monitoring hemoglobin saturation was developed. A phantom containing human erythrocytes in a scattering solution was used to study system performance. The effect of a top layer was also examined through modeling and preliminary experiments.
