Ayse Kuspinar
Associate Professor, Rehabilitation Science

Dr. Kuspinar is a physiotherapist and Associate Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Science. She obtained her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship from the School of Public Health & Health Systems at the University of Waterloo.

Dr. Kuspinar’s research program focuses on health outcomes research, aging and mobility. She uses advanced psychometric approaches such as Rasch analysis and preference-based methods, to develop and test patient-reported outcome measures. Her research also focuses on aging and mobility, the development and evaluation of interventions to optimize mobility in older adults. Dr. Kuspinar is interested in developing strategies to prevent functional decline and improve quality of life in Canadian seniors. Dr. Kuspinar’s research is supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, McMaster Institute for Research on Aging, AGE-WELL NCE, ALS Society of Canada, and Parkinson Canada.
