Kristina Durham
Assistant Professor, Rehabilitation Science

Dr. Durham is an Assistant Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Science and a member of the Education Program in Anatomy. She completed an honours BSc and MSc in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, and then went on to complete a PhD in Medical Sciences at McMaster University.

Her research interests include assessment of teaching practices to improve and enhance student-centred learning in graduate professional programs, and development of a framework to allow for appraisal of anatomy curricula for meeting equitable, diverse, and inclusive standards. Current projects include: 1

1) AnatoME: Removing Barriers to Skin Tone Diversity in Anatomical Sciences Education.
2) AnatoME: Beyond the Sex and Gender Binary in Anatomical Science Education Research Study.
3) AI OSPE: iterative design, assessment, and implementation of an innovative anatomy study tool for students that provides automatic grading by artificial intelligence to short inputted answers to objective structured practical exam questions (https://aiospe.mcmaster.ca/).
4) Priorities Aligned: enhancing student learning and strategic resource allocation by interdisciplinary anatomy education: to develop, deliver, and evaluate interdisciplinary anatomy classes within the MScPT and MScOT programs.
