Successors to heparin: New antithrombotic agents
Abstract
New advances in antithrombotic therapy include low-molecular weight heparins (LMWHs), heparinoids, and direct thrombin inhibitors. LMWHs and heparinoids have improved pharmacologic and pharmacokinetic properties compared with standard, unfractionated heparin.
