Mucous fistula refeeding in neonates with short bowel syndrome

Abstract

BACKGROUND/PURPOSE: Neonates with enterostomies commonly suffer from a functional short bowel syndrome (SBS) and have a greater risk of electrolyte and fluid loss with poor weight gain.
