Progression toward malignancy of hamartomas in a patient with Peutz-Jeghers syndrome: case report and literature review.

Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, inherited in an autosomal dominant fashion, is characterized by hamartomatous polyps of the gastrointestinal tract and by mucocutaneous pigmentation.
