Neurotrophins, inflammation and oxidative stress as illness activity biomarkers in bipolar disorder
Abstract
Recent studies highlight the presence of systemic toxicity as an integral dimension of bipolar disorder pathophysiology, possibly linking this mood disorder with other medical conditions and comorbidities.
