Role of particle distribution on damage leading to ductile fracture
Abstract
The spatial distribution of second phase particles exerts a powerful effect upon several areas of interest in physical metallurgy. These include internal stresses, recrystallization, plastic flow, and ductile fracture. Low carbon steel is being employed to conveniently produce structures of homogeneous and clustered carbide configuration.
