Porcine cortical bone ablation by ultrashort pulsed laser irradiation

Abstract

Ultrashort pulsed lasers in bone ablation show promise for many orthopedic applications. To minimize collateral tissue damage and control the ablation process, the ablation threshold fluence must be well characterized.
