Abstract
BACKGROUND: Following successful cardioversion for atrial fibrillation (AF), the rate of early recurrence remains high. Analysis of the signal-averaged electrocardiogram of the P wave has been proposed as a noninvasive method of predicting those at risk of recurrence.
