Apoptotic Release of Histones from Nucleosomes*
Abstract
Chromatin structure is influenced by histone modification, and this may help direct chromatin behavior to facilitate transcription, DNA replication, and DNA repair. Chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation are the classic nuclear features but remain poorly characterized.
