Foot reanimation via nerve transfer to the peroneal nerve using the nerve branch to the lateral gastrocnemius: Case report
Abstract
Injury to the peroneal nerve can be devastating to a patient's daily function. By paralyzing the ankle dorsiflexors, peroneal neuropathy results in foot drop. Gait difficulties and other functional limitations impede these patients on a daily basis.
