Live‐Cell Imaging: Time‐Gated FRET Nanoprobes for Autofluorescence‐Free Long‐Term In Vivo Imaging of Developing Zebrafish (Adv. Mater. 39/2020)

Abstract

In article number 2003912, Marcelina Cardoso Dos Santos, Niko Hildebrandt, and co‐workers develop terbium‐to‐quantum‐dot fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) nanohybrids for bright and autofluorescence‐free multiplexed imaging in live cells and long‐term imaging in developing zebrafish embryos over seven days, upon one‐cell stage microinjection. The work provides a strategy for advancing in vivo imaging applications beyond the capabilities of fluorescent proteins.
