Ascending aortic blood flow in murine application has some important steps that are discussed during this workshop. While using these slides, surgical and also later a positional guidance of the head of the flowprobe on the aorta is discussed helping attendees to be able to perform the surgery on their own while in the lab. It is important to learn the approach to be able to collect good quality of data using this
in-vivo
application. These slides might help to access the ascending aorta in mouse and also with positioning the flowprobe on the aortic arch and ultimately to collect good signal tracings of aortic blood flow and its mean flow called cardiac output (CO).
