Grazing-incidence X-ray magnetic scattering studies of UO2(0 0 1) surfaces
Abstract
Grazing-incidence, X-ray resonant magnetic scattering measurements have been performed on a UO2(0 0 1) surface at and below the bulk Néel temperature of ∼30 K. We observe scattering associated with the (0 1 0) magnetic truncation rod. The scattering exhibits the expected resonance as a function of incident photon energy, and is observed to vanish at TN on heating.
