A New Reduced Power Cell for Regenerative Cascaded H-Bridge Converter

Abstract

This paper proposes a new power cell for a regenerative Cascaded H-Bridge (CHB) converter. The Two-Level Voltage Source Inverter (2L-VSI) is replaced with a Four-Switch Three Phase Inverter (FSTPI), and the H-Bridge is replaced with a half-bridge, creating a new power cell configuration.
