Is Parent‐Offspring Conflict Sex‐Linked? Freudian and Darwinian Models
Abstract
Freud's Oedipal theory sees parent-offspring conflict as a within-gender rivalry, whereas most modern evolutionary models interpret it as a gender-blind disagreement about resource allocation.
