Universal hepatitis B vaccination in adults aged 19–59 years: Updated recommendations of the advisory committee on immunization practices—United States, 2022

Abstract

This article describes updates to the recommendations for hepatitis B vaccination in the US. Most notably, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) now recommends universal hepatitis B vaccination for all adults (without a history of hepatitis B infection) aged 19-59 years, as well as those 60 and older with known risk factors for hepatitis B such as liver disease.
