MULTIPHASE MODELING OF PNEUMATIC INJECTION OF POWDERS INTO LIQUID METALS.
Abstract
This paper describes some fundamental physical and mathematical modelling for flow regime characterization, prediction of gas-particle-liquid jet penetration depths and prediction of the momentum and heat transfer in the rising three-phase plume. Extensive use has been made of multi-phase fluid dynamics to understand the physics behind injection into water and liquid lead.
