Evaluation of a new concept for semi-solid magnesium billet forming

A new concept of using a ternary eutectic for semi-solid magnesium billet forming was evaluated. Magnesium ZC63 alloy showed that the presence of only 16% liquid facilitated metal forming at low pressures and temperatures in the semi-solid state.
