This study presents a framework to simulate dynamic recrystallization (DRX) in hexagonal closed packed (HCP) metals and alloys using crystal plasticity based finite element model (CPFEM) coupled with a probabilistic cellular automata (CA) approach, as applied to Mg alloys.
