Effect of biosurfactants on degradation of organics containing petroleum hydrocarbons in composting
Abstract
Biosurfactants were introduced into composting process. Aerobic composting amended with petroleum hydrocarbons was adopted to simulate the hydrocarbon contaminated composting process. Two different biosurfactant broths were added to the composting and their effects on the degradation of hydrocarbons were compared with the control.
