Production and concentration change of ammonia in aerobic compost

Abstract

The production and concentration change of ammonia in aerobic compost of municipal solid waste were studied for four weeks. The ammonia was produced by amination action of microbe. The maximal concentrations of water soluble ammonia and gaseous ammonia come forth during the period of high temperature of the composting in the former two weeks.
