Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Metformin (MET) stimulates skeletal muscle AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a key phenotype remodeling protein with emerging therapeutic relevance for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Our aim was to identify the mechanism of impact of MET on dystrophic muscle.
