9 Anaemia

Abstract

In anaemia oxygen normally transported to various tissues is insufficient to meet physiological needs. Production of insufficient, or abnormal, red blood cells (RBCs), or increased destruction of RBCs may lead to anaemia as RBCs transport oxygen.
