Spleen effluent manipulations Some biologic possibilities

Abstract

The infrequency of spleen invasion by some neoplasms impelled us to deviate the lymphocyte-rich splenic effluent past the liver (model II) and past the liver and lung (model I) to the systemic circulation. With the completion of these procedures the development of two unrelated experimental technics for effluent studies and repeatable examinations of the spleen parenchyma were facilitated.
