Cladding reduced long-period grating in-fiber Michelson interferometer as immunosensor

Abstract

A sensitivity enhanced long period grating Michelson interferometer with diameter reduced cladding on fiber arm has been developed as an antibody/antigen immunosensor sensor. Stepwise and dynamic immunoassay with such a device shows 9-fold sensitivity increase. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
