Venous thromboembolic disease: An observational study in medical-surgical intensive care unit patients
Abstract
PURPOSE: Acute and chronic illness, immobility, and procedural and pharmacologic interventions may predispose patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) to venous thromboembolic (VTE) disease.
