Safety of tacrolimus in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: long-term experience
Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the long-term safety of tacrolimus 3 mg/day in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
METHODS: Patients with active RA who had discontinued all DMARDs for at least 2 weeks and had at least five tender/painful joints and three swollen joints, and required DMARD treatment in the opinion of the investigator, were enrolled into this open-label long-term safety trial.
