Antipsychotic prescription and mortality in hospitalized older persons
Abstract
BACKGROUND: Recent scientific reports have shown that older persons treated with antipsychotics for dementia-related behavioural symptoms have increased mortality. However, the impact of these drugs prescribed during hospitalization has rarely been assessed.
