Diagnostic significance of pleural fluid eosinophilia during initial thoracocentesis.

A prospective study of pleural fluid eosinophilia (PFE) during initial thoracocentesis in 162 patients of pleural effusion was undertaken to determine its value in establishing an etiological diagnosis.
