Abstract

The development of a soot model for turbulent jet flames using fuels, e.g., diesel or kerosene, is required to enable prediction of soot emissions from the gas turbine and diesel engines. For paraffin fuels, the formation rate of the first aromatic ring and hence the soot inception is determined from the acetylene concentration.
