Design of reliable adaptive controller for uncertain linear systems with H∞performance

Abstract

This research is aimed at investigating troubles of designing reliable H∞controls with an adaptive mechanism for linear systems having uncertainty in all system matrices and actuator faults. In order to design an indirect reliable controller using state feedback a novel approach is presented for actuator fault compensations. According to on-line approximation of eventual faults, the considered reliable controller parameters are updated in order to adjust fault effects upon systems. An adaptive H∞performance index is described to specify disturbance attenuation performance of closed-loop systems. The design requirements are presented based on solutions obtained for linear matrix inequalities. Designs are able to assure the asymptotic stability and adaptive H∞performance of closed-loop systems while there are some actuator failures. It is possible to warrant efficiency of proposed design by numerical instances.
