Pump Arrangement for Kilowatt Fiber Lasers

Abstract

Thermal effects and influences on kilowatt double-clad fiber lasers with bidirectional end pump and distributed pump are compared through numerical modeling. With an optimized pump arrangement, the thermal effects can be effectively suppressed.
