Adsorption on glass and polyethylene from solutions of fibrinogen and albumin

Abstract

The adsorption of albumin and fibrinogen was investigated for both single and binary protein systems on glass and polyethylene surfaces. Radioiodinated proteins utilizing both 131I and 125I for the two-protein systems were used to follow adsorption. Preferential adsorption of fibrinogen was observed on both surfaces with glass showing the stronger preference.
