Dispersion properties of ZnO/Diamond layered structures under periodic metal gratings

Abstract

The space harmonic method is used for the analysis of SAW propagating under an infinite periodic metal grating on ZnO/Diamond substrate. Dispersion properties for shorted and open gratings are derived. Displacement and energy profiles inside each layer indicate that the energy is mainly located inside the diamond layer when the thickness of ZnO is thin enough and that energy is concentrated within a few wavelengths below the interface between ZnO and diamond. COM parameters derived from dispersion curves are also presented.
