Michelle Zeller

Associate Professor, Medicine

Dr. Michelle Zeller is an Associate Professor and clinical hematologist with the Division of Hematology & Thromboembolism; Department of Medicine, McMaster University and the Co-Director of Operations, Transfusion Medicine for Hamilton Health Sciences. She is the Program Director for the Transfusion Medicine Area of Focused Competence Diploma Program at McMaster University and a Medical Officer at Canadian Blood Services. Prior to joining faculty at McMaster, she completed postgraduate training programs in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Transfusion Medicine in addition to a Masters in Health Professions Education. Dr. Zeller is the Director of Education for the McMaster Centre for Transfusion Research where she leads and participates in clinical research on blood alternatives such as intravenous iron, blood product utilization, informed consent and impact of blood donor characteristics on recipient outcomes.
