Adjunct Associate Professor, Computing and Software

Overview

Ed Sykes is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science within the College of Computational, Mathematical and Physical Sciences (CCMPS) at the University of Guelph. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science. His research focuses on AI and health, and he supervises undergraduate, MSc, and PhD students in the University of Guelph AI Lab (https://ailab.uoguelph.ca) and the Quantum Computing Lab (https://qclab.uoguelph.ca).

 

Ed is an Affiliate Scientist at KITE, a world leader in complex rehabilitation with more than 100 scientists dedicated to improving the lives of people living with the effects of disability, illness, and aging. KITE is a principal research enterprise at the University Health Network (UHN), Canada’s leading medical research hospital, and is affiliated with the University of Toronto. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Computing and Software, Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University.
