When many particles subject to the rules of the quantum mechanics strongly interact among each other, they exhibit phenomena that are surprising and unexpected, such as superconductivity, strange metals and fractionalization. The main goal of my research is to understand dynamical principles that govern those emergent phenomena in the deep quantum regime, where fluctuations caused by the quantum mechanical uncertainty principle play the dominant role. I am also interested in understanding gravity as a collective phenomenon that emerges from quantum matter.
