Overview

I am Associate Professor at the Philosophy Department at McMaster University, Canada, since December 2021. I was born in Brazil and have a Magister degree from the University of Vienna, a Masters of Letters and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. I am Kant scholar by training and held academic positions in Germany, Ireland and Austria before coming to Canada.

My research focuses on understanding duties and rights in a globalized world, the territorial rights of states and freedom of movement, and the relationship between moral requirements and happiness, from a Kantian perspective.
