Overview

Dr. Diana Sherifali is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing and Joint Faculty in Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact. She is also a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Diabetes Care and Research Program/Boris Clinic at Hamilton Health Sciences, and an Associate Researcher at the Population Health Research Institute.

Diana also is the co-lead the McMaster Evidence Review and Synthesis Team, and is the Co-Director of the Health Coach Institute at York University. Her research interests include designing, implementing and evaluating strategies to support diabetes self-management at the patient, provider and population level. Diana was the co-lead (methods) for Diabetes Canada's 2018 Clinical Practice Guidelines, and the lead author for the Self-Management Education and Support chapter. Finally, Diana is the Deputy Editor of the Canadian Journal of Diabetes.
